SHOPPING GUIDE
In this section, you will find various items designed to make purchasing your glasses easier in our online store.
It is important to emphasize that, at this time, we can only automatically process the purchase of single-vision prescription glasses.
How do I interpret your prescription?
Here are some of the most common abbreviations found in ophthalmological/optometric prescriptions:
- OD: Right Eye
- Left Eye (OE):
- AO: Both Eyes
- ADD: Addition
- ESF: Sphere
- CIL: Cylinder
- AXIS: Cylinder Orientation
- DNP: Naso-Pupillary Distance
- VL: Long-Distance View
- VP: Close-Up View
Sphere : Refers to the degree of myopia or hyperopia.
Cylinder : Refers to the degree of astigmatism (can be represented with a negative or positive sign*) and the Axis indicates the direction of astigmatism compensation.
Addiction : This refers to the added value to distance vision used to correct near vision, especially in patients with presbyopia.
Naso-Pupillary Distance : The distance from the center of each pupil to the center of the nose. It can also be represented as DIP (Inter-Pupillary Distance), which is the distance between the two pupils.
Important Notes Regarding Prices:
When the value in the Cylinder field is negative (-), the astigmatism is compensated for by a negative cylinder, and it can be stated that:
- If the value in the Sphere field is negative (-), we are dealing with myopia.
- If the value in the Sphere field is positive (+), we are dealing with hyperopia if the sphere value is equal to or greater than the cylinder value.
Ophthalmic lenses: what do I need to know?
We guarantee a supply of ophthalmic lenses produced with the highest quality. Our partners in the ophthalmic lens industry are recognized brands in the market, ensuring you have access to the best solutions available.
When choosing the ideal lenses for your glasses, it's important to consider your visual dynamics, according to your habits and profession, as well as the prescription you need.
What is Pupillary Distance? How to measure it?
The PD (Naso-Pupillary Distance) is a crucial measurement for determining the distance between the center of each pupil and the center of the nose.
Pupillary distance (PD) is equally important to ensure even greater accuracy.
These measurements are crucial in the production of prescription eyeglasses, as each person has a unique pupillary distance. Ensuring the correct measurement of PD and PD allows the lenses to be precisely customized, providing clear and comfortable vision.
If your prescription contains this information, the process becomes simpler, allowing you to order your glasses, including online.
